“The Houston Association of Realtors has dedicated a portion of their website to help people find temporary shelter. This database allows agents, sustained homeowners, landlords and property managers to post available living arrangements on a temporary basis (ranging from one to 12 weeks).”
“The Texas Country Music Association in Carthage is helping residents affected by Hurricane Harvey by collecting and making donations to relief efforts in advance of its awards show later this month.
“The National Assocation of Home Builders was out Wednesday morning with an update on relief efforts and home builder associations in the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.”
“The AVMA announced Aug. 31 that it has donated $100,000 toward Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The funds will be allocated via grants administered by the Association’s charitable arm, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation.”
“Having seen first-hand how destructive a hurricane can be, Laundrylux, the North American supplier of Electrolux and Wascomat commercial laundry equipment, has instituted a Disaster Relief Program for laundries affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.”
“Service providers, nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals employed at The Resource Center and represented by TRC United Employees Association worked with their elected union representatives to donate $400 toward Hurricane Harvey relief through coordination with their state-wide affiliate, the New York State United Teachers.”
