The American College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional society of more than 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations in both the private and public sectors. We provide valuable resources and support our members in their dedication to improving healthcare delivery and the quality and cost-efficiency of care.

ACHE’s Congress on Healthcare Leadership, an annual educational program that draws more than 4,500 attendees, is the largest gathering of healthcare leaders in the world.  Historically, the federal sector has been a proud and an active segment of Congress attendees.  Four percent of participants are employed by the VA, and 5 percent are members of the uniformed services.

The Congress on Healthcare Leadership provides opportunities to federal employees to learn the latest trends, strategies and solutions for healthcare’s greatest challenges. Furthermore, it gives federal employees the chance to interact with private-sector leaders to create meaningful dialogue and exchange. Finally, it offers federal employees from various sectors the chance to come together for special activities such as the Joint Federal Sector Morning Program and Awards and the Joint Federal Sector Healthcare Session. Unfortunately, more than 800 federal employees missed these opportunities at ACHE’s 2013 Congress, held March 11-14 in Chicago.
