Gary LaBranche, FASAE, CAE, is the President & CEO of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), a global organization with 56 chapters and 140,000 members, serving middle market companies and their advisers.  On February 10, Gary was awarded the 2012 Association Executive of the Year Award by Association Trends magazine, an award given annually to recognize excellence by a chief staff officer of an association.

In his speech (which you can hear here and see excerpts of here), LaBranche encouraged attendees to participate in the Power of A campaign:

Pressure to grow revenue is increasing Congressional scrutiny of association revenue-producing activities. And there are troubling new attacks on the very right of associations to speak on behalf of their constituencies.  We all need to be aware of these issues and support ASAE and our professional societies’ efforts to represent our interests. Please visit ASAE’s “Power of A” web site and contribute to the conversation about the vital role that associations play in our economy and society. More than ever, we must truly be in this together.

We congratulate Gary and all of the Association Trends award winners.  For more coverage of the luncheon, visit http://www.associationtrends.com.
