In light of the recent economic crisis, many Americans are experiencing financial uncertainty, loss of assets and a diminished quality of life.  Many have pressing financial questions that need answers, and unfortunately, many have not had the opportunity to discuss those questions with professional financial planners.

The Financial Planning Association®, Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Foundation for Financial Planning and The U.S. Conference of Mayors have partnered to provide free, no-strings attached, financial counsel and information in more than 20 cities across America in October 2011.

Financial Planning Days is a groundbreaking program involving city governments and hundreds of experts from the Financial Planning Association and highly qualified CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals. The program provides free financial education to Americans via a series of private one-one-one financial counseling sessions and personal finance workshops.

Financial planners will meet with attendees to answer questions on budgeting, getting out of debt, income taxes, dealing with mortgage foreclosures, paying for college, estate planning and insurance, among many other topics. Participating cities are:
