In an effort to highlight the many benefits associations provide to the economy and society, ASAE will hold the first ever Power of A Week this year from March 28-April 1. Each day will have an event or focus that will highlight a component of the Power of A and allow associations to participate and learn how the campaign can assist them. The schedule is as follows:
Monday, March 28
ASAE will release a compilation of its Power of A research designed to show statistically associations’ impact on the economy. The research will be drawn from a number of sources, including ASAE’s economic survey, ASAE’s 990 collection data, and the new Convention Industry Council survey on meetings. No registration or in-person meeting will be held, but data will be available on the site.
Tuesday, March 29
American Associations Day will begin this day with programs bringing association executive together from across the nation. At 2 PM, Power of A Committee chair Mark Golden, CAE and other presenters will give an interactive and in-depth presentation on how associations can use the Power of A to grow membership, represent themselves to the media and public, and advocate effectively for their issues. At 5 PM, the ASAE Board will host the American Associations Day reception, where association professionals from over 30 states will gather and network in a unique reception. ASAE will also present its Sentinel Award to Congressman Chris Van Hollen (MD-8) for his work with the association community. All events will take place at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. Wednesday, March 30

Thursday, March 31
ASAE will host a webinar dedicated to the new Power of A Awards. The webinar will help associations learn about the new awards, the nitty-gritty of how to apply, and what makes a winning application. If you want to win recognition for the good work your association is doing, this is a good way to do it. Friday, April 1

The program, entitled “The Future of Association Career Programs”, will include a panel of experts discussing the future of the association space and how current and future association employees can take their career to the next level. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking event. Register for the program at http://www.asaecenter.org/Education/EventDetail.cfm?ItemNumber=57794.
