As part of American Associations Day, the ASAE Board and local association executives join our attendees from across the country for an evening celebrating all associations and the work they do to advance society. The evening of fun and networking also includes the presentation of the ASAE Sentinel Award. This special award is presented to a member of Congress who has advocated on behalf of nonprofits or nonprofit issues. This year ASAE awarded two Sentinel Awards, and the one presented on March 23 was to Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) for his work with Virginia nonprofits.
